Agarwood (Oud) – often revered as “liquid gold” in perfumery, is the fragrant heartwood of the Aquilaria tree. Formed when the wood becomes naturally resinous due to a protective response against fungi, agarwood produces an enchanting, complex aroma: rich, resinous, balsamic, with hints of earth, fruity, and subtle sweetness.

Known for centuries across Asia and the Middle East, agarwood has been cherished in ceremonial and spiritual practices, meditation, and perfumery for its deeply grounding and mystical qualities. Myrrh (Commiphora myrrha) - The Resin of Devotion

One of the oldest aromatic resins known to humanity, treasured for thousands of years across ancient civilisations. Harvested from the hardened sap of the Commiphora tree, native to arid regions of East Africa and the Arabian Peninsula. When the bark is gently cut, the tree releases a milky resin that hardens into amber-toned tears — a process that has remained unchanged for thousands of years.

In antiquity, myrrh was considered more precious than gold. It played a central role in sacred rituals, funerary rites, and medicinal preparations in ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome. The Egyptians used myrrh in embalming ceremonies, believing it preserved both body and spirit, while it was burned in temples to purify the air and deepen spiritual awareness.
