  Derived from the seeds of Abelmoschus moschatus, ambrette has long been treasured as a botanical alternative to animal musk. Native to India and cultivated across tropical regions, its seeds have been used for centuries in traditional perfumery and Ayurvedic practices, valued for their soft, sensual aroma and natural affinity with the skin.

  In perfumery, ambrette is revered for its ability to impart a warm, musky softness that feels both intimate and radiant. Unlike sharper synthetic musks, it offers a delicate, slightly fruity warmth with subtle floral undertones, enhancing the composition with a skin-like glow and a gentle, lingering trail.

  Aromatherapeutically, ambrette is associated with calm and emotional balance. Its soft, enveloping scent is believed to soothe the nervous system, ease tension, and promote a sense of comfort and quiet confidence—like a subtle aura that moves with you, rather than ahead of you.

• Australian Sandalwood - Sacred wood of stillness

  Australian Sandalwood is a rare and precious aromatic wood native to the ancient landscapes of Western Australia. Distilled from the heartwood of mature trees that have grown slowly for decades, its oil carries a soft, creamy warmth — less sharp than its Indian counterpart, yet deeply grounding and quietly luxurious.

  For over 40,000 years, Australian Aboriginal cultures have revered sandalwood for its spiritual and practical significance. The wood was traditionally burned in ceremonial practices, used in healing preparations, and valued as a bridge between the physical and spiritual worlds. Its smoke was believed to cleanse spaces, invite calm, and anchor the mind in moments of reflection.

  Unlike faster-growing woods, Santalum spicatum develops its aromatic complexity over time, drawing nutrients from surrounding plants in a delicate ecological balance. This slow maturation gives Australian Sandalwood its distinctive character — smooth, milky, and meditative — making it a cornerstone of refined natural perfumery.

  Historically, sandalwood has been associated with tranquility, devotion, and longevity. It is traditionally believed to quiet mental chatter, reduce emotional tension, and promote a sense of inner steadiness.

I designed Aryzda to showcase the showcase the stunning depth of Australian sandalwood. I wanted her to possess a remarkably bright, fresh opening, and the final blend truly exceeded my own expectations. The opening marries zesty bergamot and spicy cardamom with the soft warmth of ambrette seed. This creates a complex introductions, both spirited and cream-wood, smooth that awakens the senses and invites your to repeatedly return to your wrist throughout the day.
